• FAA Human Factors Team Report On: The Interfaces Between Flightcrews and Modern Flight Deck Systems
  In response to increasing concerns over the flightcrew/airplane interfaces, the FAA’s Transport Airplane Directorate (TAD) formed the Human Factors Team (HF Team) to evaluate the vulnerability of the current fleet to breakdowns in flightcrew/airplane interaction. A study was initiated to consider all aspects influencing the flightcrew’s ability to safely use the displays and automated systems dealing with flight path management. This report describes the results of that study.
